
Today, Tuesday October 28, 2014 is the Feast of Saints Simon and Jude, Apostles
In today’s first reading, we are reminded that we are God’s construction materials:
Through him the whole structure is held together and grows into a temple sacred in the Lord; in him you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
God does not call the extraordinary. Instead he calls ordinary people like Simon and Jude to do his work. We might feel very plain, like bricks. But through the Spirit he takes us and builds his church..
